UK Gambling Commission publishes revised technical requirements

A report on the Clarion Gaming site says: "The UK Gambling Commission has published a draft of its revised bingo and casino technical requirements. The requirements have been revised to address consultation issues that were not resolved prior to the publication of the requirements in June 2007."

Online bingo games operators and online bingo halls based in the UK would be well advised to consult this latest publication as to how it may affect their own operations.

On its site, the UK Gambling Commission makes the following statement regards bingo operators and their status according to the law:

All licensed Bingo operators are required to abide by the Gambling Act 2005, the three licensing objectives (keeping crime out of gambling, ensuring that gambling is conducted fairly and openly, and protecting children and vulnerable people from being harmed or exploited by gambling) as set out in the licence conditions and codes of practice, which sets out the rules operators must observe to meet those objectives.
