GSN brings Bobby back for bingo
GSN has enrolled Patrick Duffy, famed for his role at Bobby Ewing in
long-running series Dallas, to host a new 40-episode interactive
gameshow called Bingo America.
The Liberty Media-Sony Pictures Entertainment joint venture channel will give Duffy his gameshow debut at the end of March, with the show described as a blend of classic trivia quizzes and bingo.
Developed by executive producer Andrew Glassman, Bingo America will get a 19.00 slot and viewers will be able to play along for free with Duffy awarding cash prizes to contestants in the studio and those at home.
Free downloadable bingo cards will be offered at GSN.com while the audience will be able to receive bonus numbers via text message.
"The truth is, I love game shows. Especially the classics. They're exciting to watch and fun to play along with," said Duffy. "I'm thrilled to be working with GSN on a show like Bingo America that's based on such a widely recognized and easy to play game."
